Orienteering Adventure
Grab a map and compass and set off on a mini adventure! Children will learn navigation skills, follow clues, and work together to find hidden markers. Sessions can be adapted for different ages, linked to curriculum goals, or run as an exciting outdoor party activity — a fun way to build confidence, teamwork, and a love for the great outdoors.
Location/Environment:
School fields, playgrounds, local parks, woodlands, or larger outdoor spaces
What’s included:
Maps, compasses, clue cards, clipboards and marker resources
What will we do?:
- Learn basic map-reading and compass skills
- Follow trails and clues to locate hidden markers
- Work in teams to complete navigation challenges
- Celebrate success with a group debrief or mini prize activity

Practical Requirements:
- Outdoor space large enough to set up markers
